3.                    Try different art mediums
4.                    View the animated film Beowulf

Materials:

1.  Beowulf  (retold by Kevin Crossley-Holland; illustrated by Charles Keeping)

2.  The animated film Beowulf


Projects: An Art Book that includes:

1.  at least four scenes from the story (watercolor, colored pencils or pens, black      and white, your choice.
2.  a need-to-know word log from the story.
3.  a menu that reflects what would have been served at Herot.
4.  a comic book strip that relates an event in Beowulf.
5.  a drawing or blueprint of the Geats’ ship.
6.  an illustrated timeline of the events in the poem.

 

Evaluation:

1.             Oral Reading                      30%
