Objectives:
1. To read the play out loud.

4. to learn the elements of a tragedy.
5. To identify themes in Macbeth
6. to view the Roman Polanski film of Macbeth
Projects:
1. to produce an art project based on a theme, scene, or character in Macbeth (choose one)
a. a montage based on one of the themes in Macbeth, such as “ambition.”
b. a drawing of one of the scenes, such as the opening “Witches” scene.
c. A portrait of one of the main characters that reveals something about the character.
2. to give an oral presentation on some aspect of Macbeth (choose one)
a. Give a eulogy for a character who dies.
b. Present a defense of Macbeth or Lady Macbeth for their actions.
c. Trace a theme throughout the play, such as the many references to “Borrowed robes.”
d. Deliver a monologue from memory
