Teacher Work Days Change

Teachers have requested that we return to our old method of doing work days.  I don't like to change the calendar mid-year, but changes are in the works in other ways, so we are going to move forward on this.  The next teacher work day will be April 4th, the day before spring break.  We will be closed for the students that day, but the teachers will have all day to work on future planning, on their classrooms, etc.  Next year, we will be returning to the old method of having days off, even though it lengthens the school year.  We are finding it too difficult to meet and/or get anything done on our classrooms when the children are present, even with early pick-up.  If you have questions or need to find a sitter, please let everyone know and I'll call around to see if any daycare centers might take some of the younger and/or older kids for the day.               Debbie Gathmann
