Jaya Bonner

   Hello, my name is Jaya Bonner.  I was born on June 20, 1997, in Atlanta, G.A.  I live with dad and mom and my annoying older sister. My hobbies are collecting dolls, singing, baking, and riding my bike.

   I am a fifth grader at Kingfisher Academy in Atlanta, G.A. The teachers at Kingfisher are nice and most of the students are friendly. We have a lot of exciting and interesting field trips. My most memorable field trip was the Nutcracker performance at the Fox Theatre. The dancers were great and the costumes were so beautiful.

   I also enjoy going to the movies. My favorite movie is The Great Debaters. This movie was about a black college student debate team in the 1930’s.   The team won a national debate against Harvard University.  Even though the team had to deal with segregation and other issues, they were taught to never give up.
 
    My favorite subject is math and P.E. Math is my favorite because you learn different ways to use numbers and how to count your money correctly. I like P.E. activities because I stretch muscles I never heard of before.
